*What does “semi-private” mean?


Semi private means that your program is 100% customized & tailored to you, your needs, your goals, your fitness level, & any past/current injuries. While you’re training with us in the studio, there could be up to 3 other EP members in the studio training at the same time. They will be doing the workouts that we’ve prescribed for them. This helps add an extra layer of accountability, camaraderie, & community while helping keep the cost of training lower than private training.



*What is your schedule/availability?


We understand that your schedule may not be the same every week. As an EP member, you will have access to our schedule online. You will be able to schedule yourself at any availability that we have. For example: one week you may need to train on Monday evening & Wednesday evening, but the next week you may need Thursday morning & Saturday morning. That’s completely fine.We have availability Monday through Saturday mornings & Monday through Thursday evenings. Depending on the day of the week, our first session starts at 7am, & our latest sessions starts at 7pm.



*If my goal is to lose weight &/or gain muscle, is EP Newark best for that?


Absolutely. 100%. It’s what we do. Our training programs center around you, your body, & your goals. Our programs are scientifically proven through the National Academy of Sports Medicine & are time-tested since 2004 (the year we started) to be the BEST way to help you lose body fat while simultaneously building lean, functional muscle.



*I have an injury (or was injured in the past). Can I still train at EP?


We specialize in post-injury & post-physical therapy training. We have worked inside physical therapy clinics & currently receive referrals from local therapists & chiropractors. While we can’t address every specific situation here, know this… we’re the best program in the area when it comes to modifying & customizing workouts for our members. We deal with everything from wrist inflexibility to knee replacements & everything in between. We train breast cancer survivors, vertigo sufferers, people with RA, MS, fibromyalgia, & more. You're NOT "too broken" to train with us.



*How long are your training sessions?


All of our training sessions are one hour long. Studies show that the sweet spot for fitness results is 50 minutes so all of our workouts include a dynamic warm-up, workout, and cool-down.



*What should I expect during my Get Your Body Back Call?


On this 15-minute, no obligation call, Charlie simply asks you a handful of questions to discover more about you, your goals, where you’re at now, & what struggles you’ve been dealing with. This will help us determine if our programs are a fit for you. If we feel we are able to help, we will go into more detail about how. We also take the time to answer any questions that you may have.



*What should I expect at my first appointment?


Your first session with us will be our one-hour Elite Assessment. We will perform a full evaluation, complete with weight, body-fat analysis, and circumference measurements. You will also perform our Elite Movement Screen. These movements indicate to us tight, weak muscles or joints and your biomechanical predisposition to injury.Then you will go through our Elite Fitness Assessment. These five exercises help us figure out your current fitness level. They also help us see your strengths, weaknesses, and the areas we need to focus on in your personalized plan.Once you complete your Elite Assessment, we sit down together, talk about what we saw, and formulate a step-by-step plan of action to help you reach your goals. There is no risk or obligation to sign up at your Assessment… but we certainly hope you do!



*What ages do you work with?


Our programs are designed for adults, but we typically allow teenagers 16 years & older. On the other side of the spectrum, we have had several clients in their 70’s, & have experience working with clients into their late 80’s.



*Where are you located?


We conveniently located at 1501 West Main Street in Newark, just a few blocks west of Licking Memorial Hospital. We are between Westmoor Ave & Terrace Ave. Our entrance is located on the back of the building, so you won’t see us as you’re driving down West Main.
